Ahmedabad is India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City and the commercial capital of its most business-minded state. Two years here is two years inside a working economy.
Trade here is generational. Textiles, chemicals, pharma and denim built family firms that now run professional boards, and the instinct for margins, risk and negotiation is ordinary conversation. Software development and technology back-ends have joined that same commercial fabric, with product and engineering teams now sitting alongside the trading houses. Students pick up commercial judgment from the environment, not only the classroom.
India’s first International Financial Services Centre sits between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, with 1,000+ operational entities, 95 funds and more than 20,000 jobs created. For finance and analytics students, a global banking floor is a short drive away, not a different city.
Adani, Zydus, Nirma, Intas, Astral, Torrent and Arvind are headquartered here. Working in a head-office city means exposure to strategy, treasury and group functions early (the roles where careers compound) instead of regional execution alone.
Gujarat has topped the national startup ecosystem ranking as Best Performer five times running. Ahmedabad companies raised roughly $930 Mn across 160 deals in a decade, and the MSME base around them means early responsibility is easy to find.
Grade-A office vacancy has tightened from 18% to about 7% as global firms set up capability centres along SG Highway and Prahlad Nagar. Attrition runs well below Bengaluru, so early-career roles here come with longer runway and better mentoring.
The walled city earned India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City designation, and the campus city around it is affordable, safe and unusually easy to settle into. Enterprise is the local disposition, and as the city grows it keeps taking in people from everywhere else. Cohorts at NBS come from 24+ states, and the city absorbs all of them without ceremony.
Banks, insurers and consultancies are shifting back-office and middle-office operations to Ahmedabad, and the city is building out as an engineering and software development base alongside the fintech cluster at GIFT City. Dedicated SEZ parks (Million Minds IT-SEZ Park among them) give those teams ready floor space, which is why technology and operations hiring now runs parallel to finance hiring.
Ahmedabad is consistently rated among the safest large cities in India for residents of every background, and students arriving alone from another state notice it first. Student housing and daily costs sit well below metros with a comparable employer base, so the same two years of study and the same recruiters come at a lower total outlay, and the investment returns sooner.
Every incoming cohort walks the pols of the walled city as part of the Genesis, our orientation programme: the Sidi Saiyyed jali, the old trading houses, the markets that have run for centuries. It is the first lesson in reading a market, and it happens before the first class.

Aspirants from 24+ states and UTs apply, screen, interview and pay on one integrated platform. Nex answers programme questions 24×7, surfaces the right cohort, and flags applications that need human review.
Live mock interviews, role-specific case drills, and a recruiter cloud spanning 300+ partners. Nex rehearses your pitch, your numbers, your story, until the offer letter lands.
Wall-to-wall capture, live polling, AI summaries and follow-up reading packs land in every student’s OneDrive before they reach the hostel. Faculty get a heat-map of who engaged with what.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams: every student gets enterprise Copilot from day one. We teach prompt craft, data ethics, and the discipline of human-in-the-loop work as a first-year fundamental.
Every capstone, simulation and live project is graded on insight, not effort. Nex accelerates the grunt work so students compete on judgement, framing and human craft.
