PGDM Quantitative Finance Course Curriculum

Programme Structure

The PGDM in Quantitative Finance offers a comprehensive and industry-oriented curriculum designed to equip students with advanced financial theories and practical skills in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, risk management, and algorithmic trading. This 2 years program, unique in West India for its integration of the EY CAFTA certification, provides a blend of core courses, electives, and hands-on projects, ensuring graduates are ready to excel in diverse finance roles.

With a focus on real-world application, the program includes industry projects, internships, and strong placement support, making it an ideal choice for early-career professionals, executives, CA/CS/CFO aspirants, graduates seeking specialized finance knowledge, and entrepreneurs looking to enhance their business acumen.

In Year 1, students are immersed in foundational courses that cover core areas such as financial markets, financial mathematics, and quantitative methods. These courses are complemented by training in data driven programming languages such as Python, R, SAP-FICO, Tableau & more which are essential tools for quantitative analysis. The curriculum is structured to provide a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring that students are well-versed in the fundamental principles of finance and quantitative methods.

As students' progress to the second year, the program with the integration of EY CAFTA modules dives deeper into specialized areas, offering advanced courses in treasury hedge accounting, derivatives, risk management, algorithmic trading, and financial modeling. The focus shifts towards practical application, with students engaging in capstone projects or internships that allow them to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. The program capped with industry partnerships offers 90-day Bloomberg terminal training, which provides students with valuable insights and opportunities for hands-on learning.
